OUR SERVICES

Consults

Our patient consults are by appointment only.

HIV / Aids Counselling

This service is for people living with HIV/AIDS and their families. It is strongly encouraged because it teaches the tools for making informed choices, behaviour and well-being. Patients receiving Post-Test therapy tend to fare much better than those who don't. The treatment focuses on emotional and physical support and includes an educational chapter. Therapy, and especially therapy which is ongoing is advised for patients and/or family because it motivates positivity , develops support and guidance capabilities, and relieves the intense burden of stress, anxiety, mood adjustments, and other conditions which usually present post-diagnosis.

Sustainability is the key to successful behavioral modification with this program. It is vital that the patient remain positive and inspired at all times to eliminate the chance of any emotional relapse during treatment.

This service can be included into a Palliative Care Program, depending on the patients condition or capabilities.

Home based care

Home-based nursing and caregiving services are available for patients with disabilities and other disorders, as well as frail care and seniors caring.

Palliative care

Palliative care is specialist medical care for people living with serious or terminal illness. This care is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of the illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family. Palliative care is provided by doctors, specialists, mental health practitioners, nurses, carers, and any other suitably qualified people involved with the care program. Palliative care is centered on the needs of the patient and not their prognosis. It is appropriate at any stage in an illness and normally provided with curative treatment. The Palliative care team are normally in direct contact with the patients primary care doctor.

Health and wellness counselling / coaching

This is a tradition that emphasizes optimum functioning in all areas of a person's life. The process is defined as both preventive and developmental. It is the citation of learning to incorporate the dual facets of awareness and decision making toward a goal of un- paralleled health and well-being in which body, mind, and spirit are integrated. Sometimes this therapy involves learning more about a particular condition ( eg. depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders ) by which the person is affected. In other cases this counsel and therapy exposes the individual to their own untapped potential, and assists them with the understanding and realisation of their capabilities and acts as the trigger to their new development. This form of therapy will :

. Assist in improving communication and interpersonal skills.

. Promote self-acceptance and self-esteem.

. Help with overcoming defeating habits and behaviors.

. Bring relief from Depression and Anxiety.

. Increase confidence and aid in stress management.

. encourage development with emphasis on change and sustainability.

. Teach the management and control of emotions, and overcoming hostilities and negative attitudes.

BPD will need to be professionally diagnosed. The symptoms are very broad and can be similar to or overlap with other mental health problems. Some warning signs could include developing their poor communication skills, having feelings of emptiness, ignoring important areas in

of their well-being, being without motivation, a feeling of worthlessness, insecurity and impunity. Impulsivity is a marker, which can accompany bad

social habits such as making up of ridiculous excuses when cornered or frustrated, and engaging in high risk behaviors including promiscuity.
